TheresaGattungTheresa Gattung

Chair

Theresa Gattung is a leading New Zealand business personality and author of her best-selling autobiography Bird on a Wire. Named in Fortune magazine’s list of the 50 most powerful women in international business several times since 2002, she was also included in Forbes’ list of the world’s 50 most powerful women across any sphere in 2006.

Theresa was recognised in the 2015 New Year’s Honours List; being made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business and philanthropy.

She is Chair of the Board of AIA Australia Limited and Telco Technology Services Limited (TTS) and co-founder, alongside Cecilia Robinson and Nadia Lim, of My Food Bag. Operating in New Zealand and Australia, My Food Bag has grown very quickly with turnover above $30m within two years.

As the inaugural Chair of Wool Partners International from July 2008 to March 2011, Theresa led the company’s drive to reinvigorate the international market for New Zealand’s strong wools, applying her leadership skills, international business experience and marketing and branding expertise.

From October 1999 to June 2007 Theresa was CEO and Managing Director of Telecom New Zealand, a NZ$5 billion turnover telecommunications business operating in New Zealand and Australia and listed on the NZX, ASX and NYSE. During her tenure as CEO she led Telecom through world-changing technology developments and the evolution of the business from a traditional telco to the number one IT provider in New Zealand.

Before becoming CEO of Telecom, Theresa held roles there as Group General Manager, accountable for revenues of NZ$3 billion and responsibility for over 3,500 staff, and General Manager, Marketing. Prior to joining Telecom, Theresa held a number of marketing roles in the financial services sector.

Combining her business experience and personal interests, Theresa was Chair of the New Zealand Advisory Group for the Frankfurt Book Fair 2012. She is also involved with a number of not-for-profit and philanthropic interests, including being co-founder and trustee of the Eva Doucas Charitable Trust, Chair of the Wellington Board of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and Patron of the Cambodia Charitable Trust. She lives in Auckland, New Zealand.

KeithMitchellKeith Mitchell

Managing Director

Keith is Managing Director of the Telco Group of companies including TTS.

Keith graduated in law from Auckland University in 1988 and was employed at law firm Chapman Tripp until 1995, providing corporate advice to the education, health, electricity and telecommunications industries. Keith subsequently joined Telecom New Zealand, and in 1999 was part of the Telecom management team that established the Telco group and then successfully completed the Management Buyout of Telecom’s professional property services business.

With extensive experience in the design, build and maintenance of telecommunications and technology infrastructure, Keith leads the TTS business direction and strategy.

RichardHansenRichard Hansen

Executive Director

Richard has more than 30 years experience as a professional Project Manager, responsible for the realisation of all facets of building construction, property facilities and technology infrastructure projects.

Richard is an industry leader in the research, development and build of best practice workplace solutions for the corporate, education, health and general business markets.

Richard is one of Telco’s founding shareholders, following Telco’s acquisition of Telecom New Zealand’s property services business in April 1999.

BruceDavidsonBruce Davidson

Independent Director

Bruce is a professional director having previously been a director and board member of many publicly listed companies in New Zealand and Australia.

Bruce is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, Chairman of its Auckland Branch and a Councillor of its national body.

 

ScottPalmerScott Palmer

Independent Director

Scott completed a BE at Auckland University in electrical and electronic engineering, before working as an electronics design engineer in the areas of control and monitoring systems, commercial weighing, and in technical roles in electronics for the manufacturing industry.

Scott has supported Digital Alpha mainframes throughout the dairy companies in New Zealand as well as some of the country’s larger enterprise networks. In 2001 Scott established his own company, ICT Solutions Limited that specialised in the design, build and maintenance of ICT enterprise networks to business and schools. ICT Solutions (also known as PassionIT) is now part of TTS.
